Newton Burris is a Branch Manager & Principal Broker for Coldwell Banker Realty Ohio, a Realogy Brokerage Group company and division of Realogy. As Manager, Newton oversees the New Albany/Gahanna Office, with roughly 150 agents. As Principal Broker, he is responsible for more than 2000 agents in Ohio. With over 20 years of real estate experience in sales and management, he has received serval awards like Columbus Realtors $10 Million sales award and Coldwell Banker’s Presidents Council award.
Prior to his latest management position at Coldwell Banker, Newton served as the Director of Economic Development for the State of Ohio’s Treasury. In this position, he oversaw a division that strategically invests 12% of the state’s portfolio—about $800 million—in special projects. These projects grew Ohio jobs and created economic development opportunities.
He holds an Associate’s Degree from Columbus State Community College in Small Business Management Technology. Additionally, he holds a B.S. in Business Administration and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Franklin University.
Newton has two children – Newton Jr. and Audrey. He is also a member of New Birth Christian Ministries.
