Jonathan Stone serves as the Expanding Visions Executive Director. Jonathan is a lifelong Ohio resident, being born and raised in Cincinnati, completing his undergraduate study in Finance and Management Information Systems at Ohio University in Athens and moving to Columbus to attend Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University where he received a Master of Business Administration degree.
During his graduate school studies, Jonathan was recognized for this academic performance and leadership ability by receiving a Fisher College of Business Pace Setters Award. Jonathan serves as a Contract Specialist for the Defense Logistics Agency. In this role he establishes long term contracts to purchase supplies and services for the United States Armed Forces. In 2020 he was identified as an Emerging Leader and given a spotlight article to discuss the importance of the black family in modern times. Previously, Jonathan served as a Contract Negotiator at Wright Patterson Air Force Base where he was responsible for negotiating contracts for IT services and supplies for the United States Air Force. Prior to his employment at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Jonathan served the citizens of Ohio at the Treasurer of State’s Office as an Economic Development Manager where he was responsible for investing $50 million with Ohio banks to provide reduced interest rate financing for homeowners making energy efficient improvements on their homes.
Jonathan credits his family and faith for instilling a sense of service in him to enhance the lives of others. His wife, son and two daughters provide the encouragement and inspiration that powers his drive. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and has served on the executive board of the National Black MBA Association.
